When tragedy comes your way
On August 13th our family lost one of its members, 24 yr. old Madison “Shy” Cheyenne Keaton in a car accident. It caused us to take a serious look at the brevity of life, and at how quickly life can change. As we have processed this untimely passing of our loved one, so young & so full of potential, we have looked for answers to help us make sense of it all. As we turned to God for comfort we realized many of the wonderful gifts God had given “Shy” in the past 12 months and how her life had been so radically changed by the redeeming power of Jesus Christ. To name a few, she went from being lost to being found, from being hopeless to being filled with a purpose, from feeling unloved to being surrounded by a loving God, family, & church family, from being ill equipped to face the challenges of life, to being discipled, mentored, & guided, & last but not least she went from faith to sight as Jesus in His infinite wisdom chose to take her to himself. Her funeral service was a two hour celebration of what the grace of God can do when a life is fully given over to Christ, So when you look tragedy in the face remember Romans 8:28: All things work together for good to those who love God…”
